Play Midi Karaoke in Siglos
Use MIDI karaoke files in Siglos Karaoke Player/Recorder
Karaoke songs come in various formats. You may find CD+G discs (they are CD-quality audio and 288x192 pixel graphics), MP3+G files (which are converted CD+G discs with audio in compressed MP3 file), ZIP (compressed MP3+G), MP4/AVI (regular video files), and finally MID and KAR files, which are MIDI karaoke songs. While every of these formats have their advantages, in this article I would like to show you how to use MIDI karaoke. And this is because they are usually very small (they fit on every medium) and can be downloaded from many online sources for free.
But these pluses do not come without drawbacks. One is that they do not contain a graphic part, only information about words to music synchronization, so you need a specialized software to render the lyrics on screen. Siglos Karaoke Player/Recorder can perform this task, giving you the ability to play any MIDI karaoke. And it is very simple too – use Open command from File menu or drag and drop MID or KAR file onto Siglos main window or onto the playlist, if you would like to open more than one file. The player will use current background settings (you may choose solid, gradient, animated or even visualization as a background for your karaoke songs.) By default lyrics are painted in red and are highlighted in yellow, but here is how to change it to make it better suit your taste.
You may adjust the following options:
-
Lines per screen
This will control how much text is visible at once. Siglos scrolls the lyrics up the screen while playing.
-
Lyrics position
You may display the lyrics in the middle of the screen, on top, or at the bottom
-
Max words per line
Here you define how many words may be displayed in a single line before splitting it in two
-

-
Resolution
The higher resolution, the smoother will the lyrics look. But also higher resolution takes more computer power
